    Although Christians are most familiar with the first coming of Christ, it is the Second Coming that gets the most ink in the Bible. References to the Second Coming outnumber references to the first by a ratio of eight to one. Scholars count 1, biblical references to the Second Coming. After being under Satan’s influence right from the days of Adam and Eve this is the momentous turning point that wrenches the earth out of the grasp of sin and puts it into Jesus’ hands. Read Zechariah 14 and Revelation for a full description of the second coming of Christ.

The Second Coming of Christ is plagued by many false teachings. Prediction books have even been written picking the exact day of Jesus' return. These books may sell many copies, but they mislead their readers. There's one guarantee: As soon as someone predicts the day or time of Jesus Christ's second coming, that prediction is wrong.

Why. This coming was a coming in judgment — not a physical coming like Jesus’ first coming — similar to the predicted comings that resulted in judgments in the Old Testament (e.g., Isa. ; Micah –4). The New Testament writers were not describing a final, end-of-the-physical-world coming.
